The 23rd International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa closed in Kigali with delegations from more than 140 countries endorsing a statement that places domestic financing at the centre of the continent's HIV response.
Across five days, the programme carried more than 1,200 accepted abstracts through six tracks, with community-led monitoring, long-acting injectable prevention and integration of HIV services into primary care dominating the plenary agenda.
SAA will publish the full conference report, rapporteur summaries and session recordings in the ICASA archive, in English and French, within ninety days of closing.
